Dr. Roberto Nisticò (PI, Unit Leader)
Roberto Nisticò (RN) graduated in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Torino (magna cum laude) in 2011, where he also got his PhD in Chemical and Materials Sciences in 2015. From 2015 to 2017 RN is Post-Doc at the University of Torino. From 2017 to 2019 RN is Fixed-Time Researcher (RTD-a) at the Polytechnic Institute of Torino in Materials Science and Engineering (09/D1, ING-IND/22). From 2019 to 2020 RN is Researcher at the Bio-ON S.p.A. Company (CNS Unit, Castel S. Pietro Terme, BO, Italy). From 2\020 to 2021 RN is GMP QC Analyst at the PolyCrystalLine S.p.A. Company (Medicina, BO, Italy).
Since 2022 RN is Fixed-Time Researcher (RTD-b) at the University of Milano-Bicocca in General and Inorganic Chemistry (03/B1, CHIM/03).
RN published about 80 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 2 book chapters, with more than 2000 citations, reaching an H-index of 24 (Scopus). RN received several prizes, such as: the “Premio Gian Giacomo Drago e Fausta Rivera Drago (2023 edition)” provided by the Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere (Italy), the 2nd prize of the "Premio Giovani Talenti (2022 edition)" Young Talents Award of the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) with the sponsorship of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei (Italy), the “Inorganics 2020 Best Paper” Award for the category "Review paper" provided by the journal Inorganics (MDPI, Switzerland), and one of the “Macrogiovani (2014 edition)” Awards provided by the Associazione Italiana di Scienze e Tecnologie delle Macromolecole (AIM).
Ms. Falak Shafiq
Falak Shafiq (FS) graduated (with distinction) in Physics at the University of Gujrat (Pakistan) in 2021.
FS worked as a Visiting Lecturer of Physics at the University of Gujrat (Pakistan) from December 2021 to December 2023.
FS is currently working as a PhD student at the Department of Materials Science of the University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB) supervised by Dr. R. Nisticò.
Her research as a PhD student is focused on the synthesis of copper-based nanomaterials for CO2RR. At the moment, FS has published 5 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 2 book chapters.
